Kanndachime

1/2 of whole sheets W70×H68

Kanndachime is a horse that grazes around Shiriyazaki in Aomori Prefecture.

The term "Kandachi" refers to the act of antelopes standing in the mountains during winter. This name was given due to the similarity between their winter standing posture and that of horses. Personally, I visited these horses and was captivated by their appearance, leading me to create this piece.

of the characters is included in the renowned Chinese horse's name, Karyu.

I devised this concept by envisioning the vibrant, glossy chestnut coat as it gracefully gallops. The remarkable swiftness of horseback riding has greatly broadened the potential and opportunities for humanity.
